First, to spend one hour on the same day of each month praying the fifteen decades of the Rosary while meditating on the Fifteen Mysteries. The Hour is called the Hour of Guard and constitutes your place amidst the royal guard of Mary’s great Rosary family. It is an hour of prayer dedicated to the Blessed Virgin. The Perpetual Rosary Associate fulfills this duty out of love and filial devotion and not under pain of sin. It is a pious custom to place flowers or a lighted candle before a statue of Our Lady during the Rosary Hour, if possible.
Second, to pray the Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary once during the course of each week. One can also pray the five Luminous Mysteries however, only 15 Mysteries are required for membership in the Confraterntiy of the Rosary. Those responding to Our Lady’s request at Fatima, to “pray the Rosary everyday”, already fulfill this duty of the Rosary Confraternity.
The Perpetual Rosary Association is open to all the faithful. All are welcome! It is indeed grace that moves each one to commit themselves to one hour each month in praise and petition to Mary, our Mother and Queen of the Most Holy Rosary.
There are 720 hours in each month of 30 days… Won’t you spend just one hour a month with Our Lady?
